Warren Citrin Biography

Warren Citrin co-founded Solipsys Corporation in March 1996 along with Bob Thurber and Dave Buscher.  He was the CEO and a member of the Board of Solipsys from 1996 until the sale of the company to Raytheon Corporation in March 2003.  Mr. Citrin remained as President and Board member of Raytheon Solipsys until leaving the company in April, 2005, to start a new venture.  His new company, Gloto Corporation (rhymes with photo), specializes in the application of technology to improve consumer/merchant transactions.

Prior to his start-up experience, Mr. Citrin had a successful career as a systems engineer. He has over 27 years of experience in system engineering, with 19 years in Navy Surface Radar System development. During his 18 years at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL), he contributed to the design and development of automatic signal processing and tracking systems for numerous surface combatant surveillance systems, including SPS-48C/E, SPS-49(V)5,7, and SPY-1 A/B. He designed the radar control and command and control functions of the AN/SYS-2 integrated automatic detection and tracking system. From 1985 until 1996, Mr. Citrin led the design, development, and integration of the U.S. Navy's premier radar network, the Cooperative Engagement Capability and related systems.

Mr. Citrin received a BSEE from the University of South Carolina in 1973 and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1976.
